The Truth of Death-- CONTINUED.

Bart sat, silent, as the rain fell down onto the rooftop, plicking in an eternal, annoying way. Bart's eyes glistened. His clothes got soaked very easily, but Bart took no notice. Kraferrs weren't very vulnerable to coldness. The thunder raged again, sending a boom throughout the city.

Shadow's hair darkened as the rain soaked it. She didn't care for the cold. She actually prefered it to the fire demons were supposed to like. She maintained her silence, not bothering to pull her hood over her head to keep off some of the rain. She closed her eyes, listening to the thunder roll and the rain falling.

Bart thought a bit, then put his hand onto the ground, behind Shadow. He flexed one leg, and put his other arm over it. His clothes began dripping with the cold rain. A flash of light appeared. After a sfew seconds, thunder boomed far away. Barts tail began slithering to the arm he was putting his weight on.

Shadow hugged her knees to her chest again, looking up at the sky. She began to sing softly again, in a different language. It sounded like a funeral song, slow, with a steady rhythm to it.

Bart's face darkened at the sound of this new singing. It remembered him of the recent kraferric deaths he had met recently. His fist tensed, and his tail slithered around the arm he was putting weight onto. Strands of hair fell over his eyes, as they glistened softly.

Shadow, sensing Bart's emotions, stopped singing, looking down at the concrete. She saw trying desperately not to cry again, but then she took a deep, shaky, breath, pulling herself together. The demoness looked up at the moon again, sighing.

Bart scooted closer to Shadow, head lowered. His tail flicked gently at the concrete ground. His clothing dropped with the weight of the rain. His eyes glistened behind the strands of hair. He looked up at the moon, seeing the same figure as before.

Shadow closed her eyes, head leaning back. The rain washed the matted blood from her hair, giving the water darker tints as it reached the concrete below.

Bart closed his eyes, sighing deeply, but quietly. He closed his eyes, because he didn't want to let the tears fall out. He arched his back, and curled up into a vertical ball. His tail flicked gently at the ground as he did so.

Shadow's mind wandered over her life, thinking about everything she had ever done. It was a ong list, certainly, but she deliberately kept away from anything dark. She sighed slightly, opening her eyes to gaze at the moon.

Bart's tail flciked impatiently onto the ground. He grabbed it, and brought it up to his face, it still squirming. He frowned slightly at the tail, and it laid itself gently onto the ground. Bart's fur spiked up, trying to prevent cold.

Shadow gave a small half smile as she caught Bart's actions through the corner of her eye. She was glad that she didn't have to live with a tail other than in her wolf form, and a wolf without a tail would be rather strange.

Bart laid down onto his back, trapping his tail under his back. He put his two arms behind his head. The tail pushed against his back but quickly gave up. Bart gave a half smile, and closed his eyes.

Shadow sighed slightly, lying down on her side, facing away from Bart. She closed her eyes, falling into a half sleep. Her legs were half bent, as if she was kneeling, and her arms crossed over her stomach.

Bart drifted to a silent sleep, his tail becoming calmer. His eyes shot out reddish lights as the eyelids fell upon them. His hair was brought down onto his forehead with the weight of the rain, plicking indefinately. His clothing was soaked, but his fur had puffed up by reaction to prevent cold, and making an almost coat-like surface.

Shadow turned over, facing Bart again. She took off her cloak, laying it over the Kraferr. Her blood was enough to keep her warm. She closed her eyes again, sighing as she allowed herself to slip into a half sleep again.

Bart squirmed slightly as Shadow put the cape over him. His tail pushed the cloak onto him by reflex, and it snuggled itself into it. Bart smiled slightly in his sleep, his tail trying to find a place to rest. His fists tensed, amking the silver bracelets glint, as well as the necklace.

Shadow gave a small half smile before slipping into a deeper sleep. She started to dream, dreaming about her past. Her fists clenched again, frowning in her sleep.
