A bad omen...

Fate... Vrael hated that word. To him, it always reminded him of the terrible destiny he was supposed to accomplish, to destroy every living thing on this Earth very slowly. He was going to kill the person he loved, and he didn't even know how he was going to. Fate had always, and always will, have a sour chime in his mind.

Alba pulled away, looking Vrael in the eyes.
"Maybe we should go to a place a little less crowded," she said, "Have a drink. Think things over."
Then she remebered, and pulled out her wallet.
"I'll be two minutes, just going to Jammy for the drinks."
She smiled tenderly at Vrael, then disappeared back into the bar.

Vrael thought that staying outside would most likely be a wise idea when you looked as out-of-the-ordinary as he did in this world. He leant against the wall, silver fringe falling over his eyes.

Alba came back out, waving at Jammy through the window, and made her way back to Vrael.
"So," she said, breathing in the cool evening air, "Where shall we go?"

Vrael looked miserable.
"I know not where we shall go." He murmured.

Alba noticed the look on the vampire's face, and a tear rolled down her cheek. She hugged him close.
"It's ok," she whispered, "We'll find a way to stop this. Somehow..."

Vrael hugged Alba back, gently resting his head on hers.
"It will, I sincerely hope it will."

Alba pulled Vrael away from the pub's noise and bright lights, heading for the wall by the river. She lead him down a flight of stairs, sitting on the pebbly beach by the rushing river.
