A life in the balance

"What happened?" Holly asked, "I've been bored."

Shadow walked alongside her, and took her previous position next to the newly sedated Archangel.

"She's asleep..." Natalie stated.

"They keep sedating her." Shadow said sadly.

"Ah..I see..." said Natalie quietly.

Shadow nodded silently, watching her child.

Natalie watched her own child as she tried to climb on Archangel's bed.
"No Tomorrow..." whispered Natalie, shaking her head.
Tomorrow stopped, and stood where she was.

Shadow bit her lip, trying not to cry.

Ash looked at Archangel sadly, and then up at Holly.
"She'll be okay." Holly murmured.

Natalie didnt say anything at all...she couldn't...

Holly wished she had a man over at her place so that she didn't kiss her dog at midnight.
But still.

Shadow nodded slowly, swallowing hard.

Holly watched Arnold zoom about the place, just for something to do.

Natalie sighed.
Lucy, however, wished Timmy was here...I LOVE TIMMY! *CRIES*

Archangel opened her eyes again and looked at Shadow, dazed.
"I'm not going to die?"

"NO!" Holly said, "WE REALISED ... GOLD! YOU'RE MADE OF GOLD! YOU'RE GONNA RECORD AN ALBUM .... WITH LILY ALLEN!"

Natalie ignored Holly.
"No dear...you are not going to die..." said Natalie, smilin

Archangel smiled.
"The doctors said that there was no hope for me..."

"The doctors lied." Holly said wisely, "They do that all the time."

"They didn't." Archangel said. "They said the tumour would keep growing."

'I think Shad should start talking now." Holly said, "Or maybe someone ELSE who isn't me..."

Shadow remained silent, just revelling in the fact that her daughter was going to live.

"Funny thing happened when I was in the shower this morning," Ash said quickly, "So I look down and -"
Arnold hit Ash over the head with her bag.
"Not that time ... tell me later." she whispered.

Natalie sighed.
"Um...there is one thing you should know though...the reason you will live is because I bit you..." said Natalie quietly.

Archangel looked at Natalie.
