A life in the balance

Natalie grinned.
"That's good," said Natalie, as Tomorrow walked in.
"Look what I found mummy," she said, holding up a doll...
A familiar doll...
Tiffany...

"Tomorrow sweety," said Natalie causiously, "where did you find that?"
"Home...your cabnet mummy...can I keep her...please?" Tomorrow asked.
Natalie looked at Shadow.
"Um...maybe not...Shadow, can I talk to you a sec?" Natalie asked, pulling on Shadow's sleeve.

Holly entered, looking flustered.
"Sorry, today's the day she gets out right? Sorry, I had a .... night last night."
"She didn't come home until this morning." Ash said, rolling his eyes, "AND SHE HAS SEVEN HICKEYS!'
Holly pushed Ash.
"SECRET ones." she hissed.
Arnold entered rubbing her temples.
"Why did I decide to be part of this family?"

Shadow nodded, and walked out of the room.

Natalie walked out too.
"Ok...um...Shadow...I have a problem...remember I used to carry that doll...along with the other one...with me at Hogwarts all the time?" Natalie asked frantically.

"I remember." Shadow said.

"Hi Arch." Holly said smiling, "Happy to be going?"

Archangel nodded, running a hand through her violet hair.

"You look a lot better." Ash commented, trying to be polite.
Something he had not learned from his mother.
But there you go.

"Thanks." Archangel said.

"Erm...well...um...not that one...but the other one...well...the male...the killing addiction thing he has...was going away...and then, him and Tiffany had a fight...and um...one thing led to another...and well...it wasn't actually death eaters who killed my parents...I know insane...but I swear it happened...I cut him up, and threw him...um...in the fire...and Tiffany got mad at me, so I killed her...and...yes...well....her doll body was in my cabnet wardrobe thing...and now...Tomorrow...and...URGH! " said Natalie quickly.

From inside the room, Holly, Ash and Arnold had heard this whole thing, as Natalie had been speaking quite loudly.
The trio's mouths were all wide open.

"Ok, I see the point in this. What do you want me to do?" Shadow asked.

"I just want to warn you..." said Natalie, "in case..."

"IN CASE WHAT?!" the trio yelled, a little nervously. The three all panicked in the exact same way.

"In case what?" Shadow asked. "Nat, I haven't slept for a month, stop it with the riddles."

"In case Tomorrow finds a certain amulet and reads the words upon it...and bring Tiffany to life...because Tiffany may be mad at me and take out the wrath on my child and friends because I stabbed her 10 years ago..." said Natalie quietly.

"This may be the weirdest conversation I've ever eavesdropped on." Ash commented.
Holly 'shh'ed him.

Shadow looked at Natalie.
"Just give me a straight order will you?"

"Ignore her," Holly snorted, "That's your direct order."
She faltered under the looks she was getting.
'Shutting up, Don't worry."

"Just...watch your a*s Shadow..." said Natalie quietly, "sorry if I'm distasteful...but it is true..."

"Ok, thank you." Shadow said, rubbing her temples.

"Are we all leaving now?" Holly asked, "I dislike hospitals."

"Yes, let's leave." Shadow said.

"C'mon Hickey," Arnold said, and she took Holly by one hand, and Ashton by the other.

Natalie took Tomorrow by the hand.
"So...do you want dolly back mummy?" Tomorrow asked, doing puppy eyes.
Natalie sighed.
"You can keep her..." said Natalie, knowing the amulet was kept around her own neck at all times for saftly. Tomorrow would hopefully never know...
