Memory Lane (Shadow and Holly)

"Calm down!" Yar insisted, before Holly had a chance to question her surroundings and/or friends whereabouts.
Holly shivered violently.
"You cant STILL be cold?!" Yar asked, tossing her another blanket, "Stupid hypothermia..."

Shadow opened one eye and a small orb of warm magic appeared, floating over to Holly.

Holly blinked several times in the direction of the orb, and almost fainted with relief when it began to work on her.
"I....'sume tha's m'Sha-"
"Yes," Yar said, "I got her. I did good huh?"
He smiled.
"Sure..." Holly lied.

Shadow fell asleep, but the orb stayed where it was.

Holly hesitated, remembering the last time Shadow had tried to be all noble and such.
"Hows it goin?" Yar asked conversationally.
Holly shrugged.
"Um...."

Shadow slept quietly.

The ship stopped abruptly, sending its occupants to one side or another.
Holly swore as she stood up, a little shakily.
"We're here." Yar said, unnecessarily.

Shadow got up, rubbing her head. She had collided with a wall.
"Where is here?"

Yar shrugged.
"I dunno, he never tells us anything."
Holly smiled weakly in Shadow's direction.
"Hallo."

Shadow smiled back slightly.
"Hello..." She said before getting slowly to her feet and walking out of the cabin.

Holly glanced at Yar and then followed Shadow, blinking in the sudden light.
"You been here before?" she asked Shadow, "And did you know Moscow's in Russia? Its not an island off America, like Hawii."

"I would tell you if I knew where we were, and I was the one who told you that Holly..." Shadow said.

"Were you?" Holly asked, "I dont remember. Anyways....this looks....like London. Judging from the position of the trees and the direction the wind is blowing."

Yar was staring at Holly. It was incredibly rare of her to use a sentence that made perfect sense.

Shadow just raised an eyebrow.
"Holly, London is a landlocked city..."

"Exactly!" Holly said nodding, "So this must be ...."
She looked up.
"New York. I can tell from the strangely proportional clouds and the shape of the birds."

Shadow shrugged and wandered off, returning later with a newspaper.
"We're in Dundee."

In Shadow's brief wandering, Holly had managed to burn herself, fall into the ocean again and accidently drown a fish.
"Im so glad you're back!" the crew members yelled at Shadow, hugging her ankles.
Holly stood in between them, looking all innocent and swinging from side to side grinning.

Shadow kicked the crew member off her and rolled her eyes.
"Seriously Holly..."

"Ready to go?" Holly asked brightly, "Where'd you say this was, Crocodile or something?"

"Dundee." Shadow corrected.

"Crocodile, Dundee," Holly said, not hearing any difference, "Same thing."

"No, Dundee is in Scotland." Shadow pointed out.

"Yeeeah...." Holly said, "What, did you think it was some Island off America?"
Laughing at her own joke, Holly strode off the ship, very dramatically. Then she fell over the side again.

"She is going to kill herself some day." Shadow said, flying out over the water to drag her out again.

"Thank you." Holly said quietly, trying to recover from her last failure as a person. "So ... lets go 'splorin!"
This was supposed to say exploring. But Im very very hyper. I just had lunch. I dont remember what I had. Ill ask Karen. She says food.
