Memory Lane (Shadow and Holly)

Shadow rolled her eyes.

"Right....Dave Ill need you to create a distraction." Yar said quietly.
"What kinda distraction?" Dave asked, stroking his beard with his foot.
"One that will take up a lot of time....we dont arrive at the port for another half hour."
"Right....goddit!" Dave said, and ran off to the captain.

Shadow looked at Yar.
"Wait, I have a better plan."

Yar looked at Shadow and tried to signal to Dave to stop.
He was too late.
"WANNA SEE A MAGIC TRICK?" Dave asked the captain.
"Not now Dave." the captain sighed.
"TOO LATE!"
Dave concentrated and squirted milk out of his eyes.

"Ok..." Shadow said.

"Thats so uncool." the captain said, not impressed.
"What about this?" Dave said and pushed his finger all the way up his nose and out his eye.
He wiggled it around.
"Hello captain." he made the finger say.

Shadow concentrated very hard, and managed to use her magic to give David a huge wedgie by putting his underwear over his head.

"WHO TURNED OUT THE LIGHTS?" Dave demanded, finger still in eye.
"Can I just ask ,....... WHAT THE FUDGE IS GOING ON!?" the captain yelled.

Yar glanced around at Holly, who had not yet stirred.
"Are you alright?" he asked Shadow, concerned, "You have to rest, Im sure."

Shadow was shaking, the magic having taken a lot out of her since she normally couldn't use it.
"I'll live." She said with a bad attempt at a smile.

Yar cocked his head to the side.
"We'll keep distracting him, if you want to go ... lie down or something." he suggested.

Shadow answered his question by collapsing on the ground.

"Okay then.....one immobile girl at once please," Yar muttered, and used his own brand of magic to levitate Holly and Shadow into his cabin, onto the two seperate beds.
"Hypothermia, exhaustion." he informed himself, pointing at Holly and then at Shadow.

Shadow twitched in her 'sleep'.

Yar busied himself with finding blankets and such around the room. Holly, meanwhile, was a little bit cold.

Shadow woke with a gasp, sitting bolt upright.

Yar looked over sharply.
"What is it?" he asked quickly, looking around.

"No, nothing." Shadow said quickly.

"Something wrong?" Yar asked, stopping, but then starting again to throw a few more blankets over Holly.

"Just memories." Shadow said, looking round the cabin.

"Ah, memories, they suck." Yar muttered, apparently to himself as he attempted to make tea.
"How do you feel?"

"Exhausted." Shadow admitted.

"Sleep then." Yar advised, glancing over, "We dont arrive in port for a while...and I have a looooot to do with this one."
He jerked his head towards Holly.

Shadow saw the logic in his words and nodded, curling up on her bunk again, one wing covering her.

Yar blinked several times at the wings, but shruggeed and took his newly prepared mug of tea to Holly's bunk side.
He tipped it towards her and Holly spluttered and sat up quickly.

Shadow had fallen asleep before Holly woke up.
