Memory Lane (Shadow and Holly)

Holly pulled the hood of her cloak up, and made her way slowly, through the trees and up to the castle.

Shadow glided through the air, thinking.

Holly opened the doors to the castle and looked up.
"You coming?" she called to Shadow.

Shadow looked down at Holly and landed softly next to her.

"You okay?" Holly asked, ignoring the fact that she knew Shadow hated this question.

Shadow gave Holly a death look before walking inside.

Holly rolled her eyes, irritated and made her way to the dorm also.

Shadow was looking out of the window when Holly got there.

Holly sat at the end of her bed, watching her friend.

Shadow didn't react.

"You'd be dead now if you hadn't of done that...." Holly said quietly.

Shadow shrugged.

Holly fell backwards on her bed, and stared at the ceiling.
"Where you reckon Farthing went?"

"Scarpered." Shadow said.

"Doesnt surprise me," Holly muttered, and glanced toward Shadow.
"Thanks..." she said, "For .... y'know..."

"Welcome." Shadow said.

"Im sorry we're no closer to getting rid of those." Holly said yawning.

Shadow shrugged.
"I'm getting used to them."

"Mm....." Holly muttered, eyes closed, "Christmas...yeah...."

Shadow smiled slightly, opening the window and flying out quietly on silent wings.

"Everybody likes Christmas..." Holly sighed, and rolled over.

Shadow clsoed her eyes as she soared over the grounds.

Holly dreamt, for some reason, that Shadow was dressed up as Jamie for a halloween party, and ended up leaving in a huff cause everyone said they didnt like her costume choice.

Shadow continued her circuits of the grounds.

Holly blinked several times.
"Weird." she commented her dream, and sat up looking around.
