I wonder, does anyone have any suggestions for a nice movie to rent or watch in the cinema? I really have no idea what to take and I desperately want to watch a good one lol.. Got traumatized by Camp Rock today.

Paranormal Activity, ftfw. I think it's forbidden for the 16-, though.
Avatar. Watch it. Revolution of computer-made images.
2012. Plot is really, really bad, and makes you want to go die, but the special effects are amazing. Only watch it on big screen, though... It's meant to stuff you full.

Avatar is hours long and the best CGI ever. I would recommend seeing it in 3D

Hahah.. Though I suppose, when you hear some persons talk Klingon, if I remember that name correctly, that it isn't completely impossible.. A bit like Esperanto, I guess.. They're all fictive languages. However, Esperanto is really easy..

I prefer J.R.R. Tolkien's elvish...

I just saw Public Enemies, and that movie really sorta hits hard... Mostly because its hard to even dislike the antagonist... It's kinda twisted and the ending is literally written in the history books, but it is worth watching even so...

Coraline. If you haven't seen it, then see it... It is stop motion, so there's that whole quirky nature to it, but it is honest to goodness horror without gore... Some people will laugh at me for that, but I sincerely honor someone who can play with my head and go all psycho freak without spraying blood all over the place...

The Fantastic Mr. Fox. Again, I may get laughed out of here for this one, but I loved it. It is downright weird, and has a style like nothing else I have ever seen... Again, it's stop motion, so it's got that element, and it is just off-wall-where-in-the-name-of-Mount-Saint-Helen's-did-they-get-this crazy... I like it.

The Matrix... It's a golden oldy, if it can even be called that yet...

Star Wars Episode One: The Phantom Menace... Sorry, it's my favorite of the Star Wars films and I love it so...

Castle in the Sky... Hiyao Miyazaki, nuff said...

And finally, The Muppet Christmas Carol... It's that time of the year AND it's the FREAKIN' Muppets...

YAY MUPPETS!! Lol, Muppet Treasure Island is a good one if you want a laugh...

Shadow's right! The Muppet Treasure Island is, in my opinion, the best Muppets film, closely followed by the Muppet Christmas Carol... And Muppet Treasure Island may also be my favorite musical of all times as well...

Allow me to explain to you why the 3-D in Avatar is Kick-A.

They had people dress up in skin tight black suits with little yellow dots on them, and had them run around on blue-screen and real sets. The little dots positions are recorded by cameras, and the people are erased and replaced with 10-foot tall Na'vi. Then, after everything is positioned, James Cameron grabs a little thing that looks like a game controller with a mini camera on it, and runs around the stage with nothing on it, placing the camera in cool places, and getting his beastly camera angles from any direction he wants, without having the bother of the people running around him fighting on the stage.

Now, the cameras they use to record live-action 3-D have two lenses, that are placed in nearly the same position as our eyes, which also accounts for the way our eyes go 'crossed' when we focus on something. These cameras record two sets of film, and then when it is played in the theater in 3-D, two projectors are used to show both shots at the same time, and then the RealD glasses you wear, take those images and turn them into a single 3-D, mind blowingly awesome picture.

Oh, and all this runs at 144 frames per second.

I watched 2012 last night, the special effects were jaw drop worthy. My Dad and I almost went and saw Avatar 3-D at the midnight showing, but ultimately decided against it, as he had to go to work at 6:00am, and the movie would be playing from 12:00am - 3:00am.
And Whil, Elmo, since I think I'm coming over to see you guys tonight, I say we should go see Avatar in 3-D, the Cinema Center just got two 3-D theaters. :3

I'm going to go see it within a few days. Or less. I wanted to go tonight, but apparently I was just going to hang out with Whil while he was at Elmo's house while Elmo was at work.
