The Journey

The river flowed quickly, a noisy lion.
Holly sat at the edge and tossed an absent stone into its depths.
The sun blazed brightly above her, and before she knew it she was lying at the edge of the river, and falling asleep.

Natalie walked over and sat down quiely beside her...looking ahead of her.

"The water is drinkable...if you want..." she said, nodding at the ruver.

Holly shrugged, eyes closed.
"Nah..." she muttered, "Get some for yourself though, you might get thirsty..."

"I am not..." Natalie said awkwardly, though she stood up anyway.

"Shall we go on a bit more?" she asked Holly.

Holly 'eurgh'ed and said, "Alright then,"
She stood and followed Natalie.

"Look...I'm sorry to move you,...it's just if we stay here for another day...we will never get there..." Natalie said, frowning.

"Where is 'there' anyway," Holly said standing and shaking loose dirt off of her.

"The great fountain in the temple on top of mount Wizum..." said Natalie absently, looking at her map again.

"Oh yes," Holly said sarkyly, "That..."

"Shut up Holly!" snapped Natalie, "this is bad enough without your sarcasum."

"Ooooh," Holly mimicked looking forlorn. She picked up a rock and tossed it at Natalie, hoping she would catch.

Natalie whipped round and used her wandless, non-verbal magic. The stone melted into thin air.

She looked at Holly.

"That is exactly the kind of fooling around that I was talking about Holly..." Natalie said calmly, careful to kepp her temper.

"Apologies," Holly said shrugging and contuing the trek.

Natalie walked on ahead a Holly, kicking stray rocks and twigs out of her way as she went.

Hayley jumped as she heard noises behind her.
Scooping Bluebery into her arms, and getting up, ahs slowly drew her wand.
"Who's there?" she asked, walking slowly.
She turned a corner, and stopped, breathing aigh of relief.
"Holly, Natalie," she said, stowing her wand in her robes.
"You scared me for a sec,"

Natalie grinned.

"Well...we said we'd meet here...so shall we carry on?" Natalie asked the two.

Hayley nodded, and wrapped her robes around her.
"So how've you guys been?" she aasked, looking around her.
She was wary of the fact they were in quite a deserted forest, and goodness knows what could be lurking.

"Good..." said Natalie. Her cherry red mouth (she is wearing red lipstick) curled into a smiled, "You?"

Hayley grinned. "Yeah, me to," Hayley said, picking her steps carefully through the large tree roots. "So what's new?" she asked, "I haven't been speaking to you in a while..."
She stopped suddenly, when a sharp movement caught her eye. "Did you see that?" she whispered, not turning around.

"Well....I'm engaged...to Gary," said Natalie, grinning.

((Please note that Natalie is like, 25 here))

"Gross," Holly commented absently, flicking a bug off of her.

Natalie frowned.

"What about you Holly....anyone in your life?" Natalie asked.

"Nope," Holly said flicking the annoying bug, "Race you to the top though!"

"Um...what?" Natalie asked, confused by what Holly had said.

"THE TOP OF THE ....... oh i dunnae," Holly said shrugging, "Oh well.."
