The Evil Topic In Which Anything Could Happen

"That is nothing to do with you." Shadow said, leaning against a tree.

Holly made a noise that sounded like "Ahuh" but was actually a clearence of the throat.
"Ex-CUSE US?!" she said, "OF COURSE IT DOES!"

"I know it doesn't...but please Shadow...I know what it's like..." said Natalie softly.

"As I said, it is none of your business." Shadow said, her face stony.

Holly looked at Shadow, one eyebrow raised.
"It better be Jamie's." she commented.

Natalie looked Shadow up and down.
"Is it ok for me to think you are?" asked Natalie.

"Did I say that I happened to be bearing a child? No I didn't. I would thank you to keep your accusations to yourself." Shadow said.

"If you are, it better be." Holly corrected herself, "Jeez, what's it take for a little communication with you Roth?"

"Yes...and what's with Holly being your best friend...I thought we were a three peet..." said Natalie.

Shadow didn't answer either of her friends, pulling her hood low over her face.

"Yup, I think we can safely assume she's all knocked up." Holly muttered to Natalie, in an attempt to have Shadow speak to them.

Archangel tugged on Holly's coat.
"Knocked up?"

Shadow kept her silence.

"It means she's gonna have another kid, but she didn't want to." Holly tried to explain, "Sorta .... "
She shrugged and lookd at Shadow.
"Talk!"

Shadow still kept her silence.

Archangel and Onyx glanced at each other, and shrugged.

"I actually explained something," Holly said, proud of herself, but her happiness burst whilst looking at Shadow.
"Since when's she been throwing up?" Holly asked the twins, "If I can't get speech out of her, I'll just have to ask you guys."

"About two weeks." Onyx said, keeping a wary eye on Shadow.

"Since approximately your birthday," Holly calculated, one eyebrow raised.

"That was two months ago." Archangel and Onyx said in unison.

"SHHHH!" Holly sushed, "IM TRYING TO MAKE A STATEMENT!"
She coughed.
"Moving on, where's Jamie these days?"

"We don't know, he hasn't been around." Onyx said.

Holly narrowed her eyes at Shadow and sucked her teeth.
"Hm..... Shadow, would you tell me please?! I'm pretty annoyed right now!"

Shadow still maintained her silence.

"I WILL make you talk!" Holly said, "I'll call Jamie and get him to make you talk .... but he's not here ... soo ... "
She looked around and eventually took out her wand.
"Talk to me Roth," she warned.

Shadow still refused to speak, her face hidden by the shadow of her hood.
