Tossoro Kerozyn. Empty
PostSubject: Tossoro Kerozyn.   Tossoro Kerozyn. EmptySun Aug 30, 2009 12:45 pm

Name: Tossoro Kerozyn.
Species: Cactaceaemid.
Age: 34 moons. (Near 3 years.)
Gender: Male.
Good, Evil, Neutral?: Neutral.
Appearance:
A Cactaceaemid (Cactaemid for plural) is a being that lives in the desert, normally far away from civilization. The Cactaemid are creatures that highly resemble the cactus, hence the name Cactaceaemid (The fusion of Cactaceaemid and Hominidae). They are anthropomorphic creatures standing by a highest of one meter maximum (Approx. 3.2 ft.) and weigh normally near 35 (if the Cactaemid were the same height as men, they would weigh a little less, do the calculation yourself...) (Approx. 77 lbs.). The cactus-men don't have any fingers or toes, though, but stubs at the end of their arms and legs. On their legs, the stubs are larger, giving them good balance when on sand.
The Cactaemid are technically omnivorous, even though they eat more plants than they eat meat, because in the desert, it seems that there is more vegetation than animals. But, under certain circumstances, the Cactaemid can eat like a normal human being, meaning more meat, even though not used to this kind of diet.
The Cactaemid reproduction is normally near November-December-January. They are born in a bizarre manner, the female laying down sorts of seeds, from which they grow out of, similar to the egg. They normally come in groups of 6-7. A Cactaceaemid lives normally up to 8 years. They reach sexual maturity near 3 years.
The Cactaemid are resistant to high temperatures and can survive more than a month without water while doing only simple actions. They also have needles covering their body to give them protection from eventual predators. Being small, the Cactaemid are faster than the normal, so they normally don't have to use their needles.
(I'll need to put this on Breed Descriptions...)

Tossoro looks like a normal Cactaceaemid, five black needles poking out from the top of his head, resembling what people would call 'hair'. He has a slightly darker green taint than the other average Cactaemid. He's small compared to the rest of the Cactaemid, only standing by 40 centimeters and weighing 24 kg (1.3 ft and 52 lbs).

History:

The sandstorm slapped sand everywhere, stinging the Cactaceaemid's cheeks. But he resisted, with an urge to keep going on. He knew that if he stopped, they were all going to die. The cactus-men stood in a tight group, defiantly standing against the rush of the beast sandstorm. Tossoro lifted one stubbed arm to his face, trying to block the sand from coming into his eyes and mouth. He whimpered quietly, trying to ignore the constant pain on his whole body. He hoped that they were all going to get out of there. Alive. They had been marching for days, trying to find somewhere to get a better shelter. The last time they had drank was two weeks ago. At the time, they were all only 25 moons old. They had been walking around the desert for more than two whole years, without ever finding somewhere to hide indefinitely.
A faint thump behind Tossoro made him turn his head. Fauilir had fallen on the ground, while Ceridyn desperately trying to help him back up. They both fell on their knees, while Fauilir flattened himself on the ground.
“Fauilir! Ceridyn!” Tossoro called out loudly, turning around to meet them. He was followed by his sisters Palmui and Neibuu, and his brother Jealinew. Tossoro crouched near his two fallen brothers, who were tired out. He tried lifting them up, but he didn't have the strength. “C'mon, get up! Please!” he begged.
“...Tired...” Fauilir murmured, head lowered, turning onto his back. Ceridyn fell next to him, looking up weakly at Jealinew. “...We can't go on...”
“Yes you can!” Palmui snapped, taking Ceridyn's arm, and trying to pull him up, helped by Tossoro.
“No... If you take me, you'll die here... Leave...” Ceridyn muttered quietly. Jealinew stepped next to Fauilir, and put one hand on his mouth.
“Fauilir is dead,” he whispered.
“No!” Neibuu cried, “We can't leave them!”
“You want us to die here, Neibuu?!” Jealinew yelled back, “We do as they wish. They are tired. Let them rest... Eternally.”
Palmui let go of Ceridyn's arm, letting it flop on the ground. Hesitantly, Tossoro laid down Ceridyn's head. He looked down at him sadly, before turning around, starting to walk away.
“We're sorry...” Ceridyn excused himself silently, closing his eyes tiredly.
“No, we are,” Jealinew replied, putting one hand on his brother's forehead, then standing up. Palmui and Neibuu followed him, sniffing gently. Already two had been lost in the sandstorm. Tossoro grieved for his lost brothers, walking slowly, head lowered, hand raised. He thought that he would die here if he continued.
The march through the storm lasted two more hours. Palmui had to be held and pulled by Jeanilew to continue. Tossoro, after a while, lifted his head, noticing a darker spot forwards. He walked over to it, struggling against the waves of wind that the sandstorm blew. Large rocks stood from the ground, and he turned around. He was lucky that the wind could carry his voice.
“Shelter!” he yelled, “Come over here!”
Jeanilew, Palmui and Neibuu stepped out in front of Tossoro, and hopped into the batch of rocks. Tossoro followed, joining his siblings in a small hole in the stones that protected them from the storm. He looked down at the sand, curling himself in a tight ball, tightening his knees against hid body with his arms.
“Fauilir and Ceridyn are dead,” Jeanilew murmured, “let us survive this storm, to prove them that their death wasn't worthless.”
“We'll have to sleep here,” Tossoro remarked, “and see if the storm calms down by tomorrow. Which I hope it will.”
“There's nothing called hope for us, Tossoro,” Palmui answered, “only fortune.”
Tossoro stood silent, and laid his back on the sand. The other siblings either put themselves against the rocks or laid themselves in the sand, trying to close their eyes and ears to not see or hear the sandstorm.
The constant swooshing and whooshing of the sandstorm made it difficult for Tossoro to sleep. He knew it was night after a few hours, because it was really dark. His siblings were sleeping rather peacefully, while Tossoro just stared into nothingness. He had to let sleep come alone, and try not to force himself. He closed his eyes, sighing gently.

The cactus-men continued their journey in the hot desert the next day, protected from the sandstorm, which had died out or had gone away. The landscape was impossible to recognize. And, anyways, they had never been here. Tossoro nodded, and kept on walking further, trying to keep his energy up. His siblings were trying as hard as they could to keep up, falling from the dunes that Tossoro easily descended. They needed to find somewhere to hide in. Something.
Somehow.
After several hours of walking, fatigue started laying its docile hand on the Cactaemid. They were slowing down, breathing heavily, deeply. Tossoro was the one with the most energy, being able to stand up a little more. He turned around, and only noticed two of his siblings. Jeanilew and Neibuu. He looked around, seeing no sign of Palmui. His eyes widened. He didn't find her.
“Where's Palmui?” he called out to his siblings. They stopped, and looked behind them. They also stared at the nothingness behind them, and Jealinew turned his head round to Tossoro.
“Not here,” he whispered.
“You mean we lost her?!” Tossoro exclaimed.
“She lost herself,” Neibuu whispered, gaping at the pale dunes, reflecting off the sunlight from above. “She's lost!” Neibuu started walking in the opposite direction, from where they came from. She started running, but Jealinew grabbed her arm, and pulled her back.
“If we go back, we'll all get lost! We don't know when we lost her, and she probably may be dead. We need to continue,” Jealinew ordered.
“How can you be so freaking immoral?!” Tossoro shouted.
“Immoral?!” Jealinew yelled back, “I saved your butt, Toss! If it wasn't for me, we'd still be in that damned sandstorm, already decomposing!”
Tossoro lowered his head, ashamed. He turned round, and started to walk away, in the direction they had previously chosen. Jealinew nodded once, and continued, Neibuu following him closely, always glancing back to their left footsteps in the sand, which soon got covered by more sand falling off the sides of the dunes. They had lost Ceridyn and Fauilir, and now they had lost Palmui. They were doomed.

Later that same day, the cactus-men were still walking slowly up and down dunes, walking desperately to find somewhere to rest, or to get water. The sand they stepped on glinted delicately, soon falling off their feet.
Neibuu fell on the ground, breathing as heavily as she could. Tossoro quickly ran over to his sister, trying to make her sit up to prevent her from choking on the sand. Jealinew stepped up, and crouched next to his sister.
“I'm tired...” she murmured.
“We know,” Tossoro replied, “we all are. But if you stop here, we won't be able to find somewhere to hide and rest, Neibuu. Please, try to continue.”
“No, Tossoro,” Jealinew answered.
“I am NOT leaving her!” Tossoro snapped angrily at his brother, “as far as I'm concerned, Ceridyn and Fauilir's death was because of you!”
“You know that we had to!” Jealinew replied harshly, “If we didn't, we would've all died!”
“We can still take Neibuu!” Tossoro retorted.
The roar of a beast not very far away took them out of their conversation. Tossoro turned his head to the sound. A sort of rectangular creature with four paws easily climbed up dunes and such, a faint smoke coming out of its rear as it did. A metal beast. Two white ones were in the beast, like if they were controlling it.
“We need to hide!” Jealinew ordered.
“Help me take Neibuu!” Tossoro replied, taking her arm, and putting it around his neck. Jealinew grabbed Tossoro's arm, and pulled him away from Neibuu.
“No time!” Jealinew replied quickly, dragging Tossoro behind a large stone, leaving Neibuu lying on the sand. Tossoro cried out for her, lending out one hand, wanting to catch her, but he couldn't. Jealinew was fast, and he pinned him on the sand. Jealinew peered over the side of the stone, and Tossoro did the same, casting a worried glance up the dune. The beast roared up the same dun, and it stopped. A white one came out, its white skin flaps shining in the sun. It crouched down, and picked Neibuu up with its arms. It showed it to the other white one, still inside the beast.
“Woah, do you know what this is?” one asked quickly.
“Nope, let's put it in the trunk,” the other replied. The first one nodded, and heaved Neibuu onto the back of the beast, making a loud thud resonate. It then came back into the beast, which growled, and roared away again, sending sand everywhere as it descended the dunes. Tossoro flipped his brother upside down, pinning him under.
“I'll freaking kill you!” Tossoro shouted, lifting his fist upwards.
“Don't!” Jealinew replied quickly, his eyes widening, “Admit that it's because of me that you're still alive!”
“We could've taken her down here!” Tossoro protested fiercely. Jealinew slapped his brother, sending him on the sand, one meter away. Jealinew was also stronger than Tossoro. He stepped up to his brother, looming over him darkly.
“You're going to calm down, Toss, or else I'll really have to leave you here to die,” Jealinew warned, “I did what we needed to do.” Jealinew stepped away,k continuing the same path as they were before. Tossoro hit the ground with his fist, and stood up, following Jealinew. He grabbed one needle on his head, and he was prepared to rip it off to stab Jealinew. But he stopped at the last second, and slid his hand down to his side, beginning to follow Jealinew, his brother. He couldn't kill him. Jealinew was the leader of the group, and only he would know what to do in certain situations.

Tossoro Kerozyn. Empty
PostSubject: Re: Tossoro Kerozyn.   Tossoro Kerozyn. EmptySun Aug 30, 2009 12:46 pm

A few days later, Jealinew and Tossoro were still walking on the deserted area. Their footprints in the sand were soon hidden by the wind. They had gotten water two days ago, because they luckily found a water point. Tossoro kept looking at the ground, not able to bear a glance at his brother, who had led the rest of his siblings to their death. Fauilir and Ceridyn, dead in the sandstorm... Palmui, lost in the desert, and him not wanting to turn back... Neibuu, taken by the white ones... Tossoro was sure that himself would be the next one to fall. He knew that they were doomed since th beginning. It had happened so fast. From six to two, in less than a week.
“Tossoro, don't move,” Jealinew commanded. Tossoro stopped, and lifted his head. He had almost bumped into his brother. He peered past him, and saw a large black scorpion crawling a few meters forwards. “A pinch-creature,” Jealinew muttered. “It looks dangerous. We need to slowly get away.”
Tossoro hesitantly nodded, and started stepping backwards. The scorpion lifted its head, and noticed the two cactus-men. It crawled towards them slowly. Jealinew frowned, taking another step back, bumping into Tossoro. Tossoro lost his balance, and he fell backwards. The scorpion took its chance, and dashed towards Tossoro, who's eyes widened at the sight of the beast getting bigger. Its pincers were about three quarters the size of his hand, and its pointed tail was at his chests' height. It scampered up to Tossoro's body, pinning him down. He knew that he was the next one.
Jealinew jumped onto the creature, shoving it off from Tossoro's body. The scorpion crawled back to its feet, just as Jealinew ripped a needle from his head, using it badly as a sort of spike. The scorpion snipped its pincers, and Tossoro got back to his feet.
Both combatants turned in circles, Jealinew glaring at his adversary, while the pinch-beast just stared blankly at the cactus-man. It was the first to jump, and Jealinew shoved his needle in the scorpion's pincer arm. Jealinew then pulled sideways, ripping the arm off from its body, making it drop just at Tossoro's feet, who was terrified.
The scorpion's tail whipped out, and shot Jealinew in his own arm, making him drop his needle. The tail struck out from Jealinew's arm, and Tossoro's brother fell to the ground, one arm on his wound. Tossoro needed to act. He grabbed the scorpion pincer between his two hands, and kicked some sand at the scorpion.
“Hey, stupid bug!” Tossoro yelled, “I'm the one you want here!”
Jealinew lifted his head, staring weakly at his brother. “Toss, no...”
Tossoro didn't listen. The scorpion turned around to Tossoro, its tail at the ready. They both turned in circls again, Tossoro's mind racing. He needed to have reflex. He wanted to try a shot at saving his brother, who had tried to save him. The scorpion hopped at Tossoro, who heaved the pincer backwards, and slammed it into the scorpion's head. It shrieked, and shriveled up, falling to the ground, dead.
Tossoro ran over to his brother, still agonizing from his wound. He looked up from his injury to his brother, Tossoro.
“Toss...” he murmured.
“You ain't gonna die,” Tossoro replied, “You ain't gonna die, right?!”
“I think I am...” Jealinew answered quietly, coughing.
“Please don't...” Tossoro whimpered.
“That stab thing... Watch out for it... It has a liquid that comes out of it... It hurts a lot...” Jealinew warned quietly.
“I'm going to find a way to help you!” Tossoro answered quickly “I am! Yes, I am!”
“No you aren't...” Jealinew replied weakly, “Leave me here... I'm going to die... At least I tried...”
“No, please don't!” Tossoro pleaded, “I forgive you! I knew that you were right! You did it for good! You left them for a better reason! Didn't you?! If you die, it will all be for nothing!”
“Heh,” Jealinew answered quietly, coughing, “it isn't for nothing... That metal beast... I changed our direction, so that we would go to where it came from... There must be something there... Please, Tossoro, don't die on me, and get there... If you do, I'll thank you...” Jealinew went limp, and he stared blankly at Tossoro, who sniffed quietly. He got up, lying one hand on his brother's corpse.
“Yes, Jealinew,” Tossoro muttered, “I will get there. Count on me.”

One day later, just as Tossoro was about to give up, he saw a great stone. It was of a square shape, and it was all white. It was shiny, and it was the biggest rock he had ever seen. Tossoro saw a metal beast enter the stone. Tossoro got up on his two legs, and quickly dashed over to the stone that Jealinew was talking about.
In the rock, it was amazing; so many white ones, and even some black ones and some middle ones. They were all wearing white. Or pale. There were some metal beasts that passed, and Tossoro hid in the darkness, away from the ones. He noticed that some ones were eating what other ones gave to them. They were round, and they could vary in a color of red, green or yellow.
Tossoro lived in that city, and is still living in it, off of fruits and vegetables sold by the merchants of the city. He steals them, without them noticing before it's too late. He doesn't have any goal now, and he's just trying to live.

Powers:
Not any that differs from any other Cactaemid. He has only talents. Such as stealing in the most discretion possible, and being able to hide expertly.

Personality:
Tossoro is normally relaxed, not stressed about getting found out, because he knows that he won't anyways. He's determined, and sometimes stubborn. He is so stuck-up in his head that he thinks he can do almost anything without being seen, up to the nearly impossible. One word to describe him,
