Once there was no more grass in range of her lip or tongue, Merlas huffed quietly, her breath curling into the air like a steamy serpent.

Ahrach sgihed, but didn't close his eyes. He gazed at the beauty of the moon, slowly drifting through the night sky, slowly falling afterwards, as the stars blinked quietly and softly.

Shaeman stood some distance away, watching Ahrach. The stitches were painfully obvious against his pale skin shining slightly in the moonlight.

Ahrach noticed Shaeman, having seen a star that twinkled differently from the others. His right eyebrow raised as he turned his head to Shaeman. "You again," he muttered quietly, "What do you want?"

Shaeman snorted quietly.
"I'm keeping an eye on you as Raven requested."

Ahrach's eyebrows raised, and his golden eyes glistened. She wanted to keep an eye out for me? With that guy? She knows I'm not very neutral towards him. Ah, well. That proves something, at least. He looked back at Shaeman. "And I bet you're doing it half(heartedly, aren't you?" he asked, sarcastically.

"I don't do anything half-heartedly. Raven told me to be here, so I'm here. Live with it." Shaeman snarled at the Kuijin. Merlas looked round at him, growling quietly in her throat. Shaeman shut up, turning his gaze to the ground.

Ahrach sighed. Well, it certainly seems as though he is doing so. He looked back at Merlas, and half smiled. The feathers on his forearms bristled, and then rested the moment later. His hand tightened his grip on his scythe, but he didn't know why. He didn't feel any presence, nor did he see.

Shaeman muttered something to Merlas, who was suddenly on her hooves, wings flared, ears pinned back.
"Ok! Ok I get the point!" Shaeman said, his eyes wide.

Ahrach laughed at that, and his hand slowly uncoiled itself from his weapon. He thought a bit, smiling. "What did you say now, so that Merlas would actually get angry at you?" he asked, laughing slightly to himself.

Shaeman scowled at Ahrach, not replying. Merlas, however, replied.
"He was trying to shirk from his duties..."

"So, I was right, you are doing this half-heartedly," Ahrach replied, smiling. He then turned his gaze up to the dark night sky. "Doesn't really surprise me. Seems that us two don't get along very well."

Shaeman didn't reply, the scar making his face look darker. Merlas shifted her wings, the feathers rustling quietly like the leaves on the trees.

Ahrach breathed in deeply, and let out a sigh. He fingers tapped on the stick of his scythe quietly as he did so. His golden eyes glistened as a lock of hair fell passed one, caressing his right cheek as it fell against it.
