Ahrach kept his eyes closed, as he breathed quietly. He was also tired, but he couldn't sleep after what had just happened. He slowly picked himself off of the bed, gently laying Raven onto it, and pulling the covers over her injured body. He then breathed in deeply, and took his scythe. He walked to the door, opening it, and then closing it behind him, after he had walked out.

Raven didn't wake as Ahrach moved her, her sleep being too deep. Vrael finished his check on Shadow quickly before giving Raven a painkilling injection and also leaving.

Ahrach sat against the wall, one hand on his scythe, it glinting as he angled it. He also kept his other hand on his dagger. He was on alert, and his sleep he didn't care much of. His black clothing drifted on the earth, hiding his eagle-like features. His hand tightened the grip on his scythe, moving it out of the moon's reflection.

Merlas ambled quietly over to Ahrach, chewing on a mouthful of something. A limp in her right foreleg was the only thing that betrayed even the slightest injury before she stopped to snuffle at Ahrach's hair.

Ahrach smiled, looking up at Merlas. His golden eyes glimmered as he did so. He put one hand on the ecuine's head, caressing it gently. "Don't you sneeze on me again," Ahrach said, laughing quietly. Like if Merlas will obey me.

Merlas half closed her eyes, enjoying the caress before pulling her head away.
"You hurt Raven, you die." The pegasus warned.

Ahrach's eyes widened, and he quickly stood up, one hand on his scythe. "Hell, you can talk?!" he exclaimed. He then thought a little bit, and lowered his weapon, and laughed quietly to himself. Looks like I've seen everything now... He looked back up at Merlas.
"You don't need to worry about that. I won't hurt her," he answered.

Merlas laughed throatily, drawing her top lip back as she did.
"Yes, I talk," She said, rolling her eyes.

"And you act human, also," Ahrach said, lifting both of his eyebrows, rolling his eyes sarcastically. "But, if you can talk..." Ahrach thought a bit, "That means a Pegasus has enhanced or more evolved vocal cords than other ecuines, right? Or is it just some other magical thing, that no scientific explanation can describe?"

Merlas sighed before folding her long limbs awkwardly beneath her as she lay down.
"I do not come from this dimension. I originate from the dimension in which Shadow was raised. The battle Pegusi there are able to speak, although we do so rarely."

"Ah," Ahrach muttered to himself quietly. He then thought a bit, and looked back at Merlas, smirking slightly. "Do you have any other capacities I do not have any knowledge of, Merlas?" he asked, questioningly, to the Ecuine. He needed to know more about the Pegusi, as it would aid him further on in his life, most probably, if he was staying with the Roths and Mercians.

Merlas thought for a moment.
"I am connected mentally with Shadow. I can trace her. Apart from that, I have no particularly special powers bar that of flightl, obviously."

"I would've guessed with the wings," Ahrach said, lifting one eyebrow, staring at the two wings that sprouted from the ecuine's body. Ahrach then thought about the other thing that Merlas said. A mental link? Magical, of course. I can't work with that. Kuijins have no magic, apart from the morphing.

Merlas gave another quiet laugh before laying her great head on the grass, her breath ruffling the grass in front of her nose. Her top lip stretched out, ripping the grass out of the ground and then she started to chew on it.

Ahrach stared at Merlas, his view captured by the actions that the ecuine did. He then sighed, and looked away, to the glittering sky. The stars twinkled delicately as the moon passed them slowly. Ahrach sat down again, against the wall.
