Vrael nodded his head once in acknowledgement, continuing his walk. Raven had dozed off on Merlas' back again, her head resting on the mare's neck.

Ahrach continued to walk, his large stride looming upon the small rocks that presented themselves along the dirty path. His black clothing swayed gently in the brisk wind, making animated shadows dance across the ground. His golden eyes looked across the ground, watching where every step of his landed.

Vrael sighed slightly as he saw the small house that the clan kept long with their other house. Both were located deep in forests, and had magical protection around them. Merlas stopped, allowing Vrael to carefully pull Raven off her back before wandering off around the back.

Ahrach sighed slightly, and he followed Vrael, twirling his unsheathed dagger in his hands, his fingers dancing around it frenetically, in order to maintain the stability of the dagger. A soft blow of wind blew through his hair as he walked towards Vrael.

Vrael helped Raven to walk into the house, and into a room that looked somewhat like a miniature hospital. Laying the demoness on one bed, he started to work on her injuries more fully.
"So, may I enquire as to your origins?" He asked Ahrach without looking round.

"If you mean where I come from," Ahrach begun, stopping his dagger, "I come from New Zealand. It's a quite peaceful place, if you want to know. Except that..." he stopped there, looking at his reflection in his dagger, "Except that the humans hunted my family and me from our territory. Just like every other Kuijin."

Vrael nodded once, still not looking up from his work. Raven was determindly glaring at the ceiling, trying hard not to move.
"I see what you say. Humanity are not as of yet ready to accept any species that they are unable to dominate." Vrael replied.

"I don't blame them, though," he continued, "Humans are like that, always this urge of power. They need to feel dominant to the others. It is their way to do that. We, the Kuijins, prefer to follow as life goes, not trying to change what others force."

"My clan have the one simple goal of being able to live together somewhere we need not worry too much about our well-being. Aspheri was never safe for us, not while our father presided over the rule. Synairn was, also, not safe for us. We would have faced eternal discrimination. The dead dimension was also not a choice. Therefore, we stayed here, where Shadow was sent to keep her safe many years ago." Vrael said.

'Hm,' Ahrach answered simply, gazing over Raven's body once more. Even though she seemed to be chaotic at first, she came here to try and protect herself. Not something I wouldv'e thought of at first.
Ahrach crouched near Vrael. "Need some help?' he asked, not taking his look off Raven.

"No, thank you," Vrael said, tying off the last stitch. Raven slowly sat up, wincing slightly as the wounds twinged because of the movement.

Ahrach stood up and turned around. He took the hilt of his dagger, and walked out of the house with it. He had seen something behind the trees, out of one of the windows. He glanced around, his dagger unsheathed. His hair flowed gently in the wind as his eyes glistened under their dancing shadows. Maybe it was just his mind playing tricks on him. But he was sure to have seen something, different than trees.

Merlas looked up, a few blades of grass hanging out her mouth as she slowly chewed her way through them. Her tilted her head to one side before following Ahrach's gaze. Her ears pricked as she heard something.

Ahrach's dagger glinted as he tilted it. A snarl crawled upon his face. He knew that there was a presence here, and it was uninvited. He kept a grip onto his scythe, ready to take it out. His clothing billowed in the sudden gust of wind. The wind stopped, leaving only silence in the forest.

Merlas shifted from hoof to hoof, her mane and tail streaming out behind her in the sudden wind. Without notice, she leapt from standstill to full gallop, heading into the forest.
