PostSubject: Moulin Rouge   Fri Mar 20, 2009 9:32 pm

Everyone should see this film!!!
It's set in 1989 - 1990 in Paris and is the story of an English writer from London, Christian (Ewan McGregor), who's telling the story of how he fell in love with a can-can dancer, Satine (Nicole Kidman), at the Moulin Rouge which was this kinda pub/pleasure house at Mont Martre (place in Paris).
The problem is that someone else falls in love with her as well. A duke called... i can't remember, he's known as 'the Duke in the film, so...
Anyway, this rivality forms between them when the duke finds out that the "Sparkling Diamond" Satine has fallen in love with the pennyless writer. His jealousy becomes uncontrolable to the point where he's going to shut down the Moulin Rouge and kill Christian if Satine doesn't give herself to him.
It's a fabulous musical and trajedy (made me cry my eyes out, as usual) and is from the same producer than "Romeo and Juliet". I love it, it's funny, rude and completely bonkers!!!
A 'must see'.

"It's a fabulous musical and trajedy (made me cry my eyes out, as usual)"
... ¬.¬
I dunno why, but every female person I've known on this planet, always 'cries' when something sad is happening. Except my sister, but she's an exception.
Hmmm... I'll try looking it up on the internet, and see whether your comments and critiques are the same as theirs. Then maybe I'll give up and see it.

*Ahem*, have you ever seen Jenn cry? She is the ONLY person who DIDN'T cry at Titanic.
How is that possible. They're all dieing horrifically trajic deaths, Leonardo Decaprio freezes to death in the Atlantic ocean while Kate Winslet is floating on a door... wateva.
She don't cry at anything, she does. lol
On the other hand, i blubber away whenever someone cries. It's just in my nature to be emotional. lo

And they say I am emo. (Triple font stuff for more effect, ftfw.)
I didn't cry when I saw Titanic. Looks like Jenn and I have at least something in common, then. Well, that'll make the first female who didn't cry at a tragic scene. Congratz.

No, Jenn is Shadow. 'Jenn' is a secondary name some users here give her.

Er... Well, we're going to watch a film at my birthday party. We didn't watch it yet, but I guess Jenn and I could talk about it later, even though I don't know what the heck it is.

...I went to see Watchmen a little while ago...
It is NOT a kids movie... Not at all...

Oh, and being a gamer makes me excited about Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Complete!
