| I love bareback riding! Lol, in one of my previous stables we used to do bareback games. They killed your butt the next morning but were great fun! And yeah, I still get scared sometimes when I'm faced with things like triples, but I'm getting over it. Races? If you mean like breeds, then it's probably Arabs, Shires, Thoroughbreds and French Saddlebred. _________________ Ianto: I have searched for the phrase "I shall walk the Earth and my hunger will know no bounds", but I keep get redirected to Weight Watchers.

| That's so awesome! We always went riding in the fields with our group.. Yeah, I found triples scary too in the beginning, but it's so much fun to do! Races.. Yeah, translated literally from Dutch.. Sorry if it isn't right. Nice Arabs are so beautiful and great to ride with.. I like Haflingers, Andalusians, Anglo-Arabs, Lipizzans, Belgian warmblood, Boulonnais (really awesome to ride with because of their height..), an English one.. Forgot the correct name and Friesian horses.. I love a lot more but it would be such a long list.. Did you ever do barrelracing? _________________ Love is a serious mental disease. ~Plato

| Friesians are gorgeous! I've got one living near me and she's really beautiful. I envy her owner greatly. DO you have a horse yourself? And no, never tried barrelracing, but I did to stunt riding once. It was great fun! _________________ Ianto: I have searched for the phrase "I shall walk the Earth and my hunger will know no bounds", but I keep get redirected to Weight Watchers.

| Sadly, no.. I really want one. But then again, it takes so much time; I don't really have a lot. A horse needs to get enough attention. Friesians are great for dressings! I had the opportunity to ride on a Friesian some time ago.. One of the best rides yet. Yeah stunting is awesome! I really love it... (is there anything I don't love about horse riding?) I like to stand right when they're galloping; with a rope that is. Hmm.. Did you swim with a horse yet?? _________________ Love is a serious mental disease. ~Plato

| lol, technically I did stunt riding twice, but once was involuntarily. I've swum with a horse, yeah, it's great fun! I'm trying to persuade my parents to get me a horse, and I know exactly the one. There's a stable where I go for riding holidays, and she's the one that helped me get back in the saddle after my accident. She's for sale now, and the stables I ride at during the year are looking for horses to take on in half-pension (using the horse in lessons, but you still get priority and all that), because everyone's outgrowing the ponies. _________________ Ianto: I have searched for the phrase "I shall walk the Earth and my hunger will know no bounds", but I keep get redirected to Weight Watchers.

| Haha involuntarily.. Did the horse act weird? Oh I'm so sorry about your accident though.. I'm glad I dared to ride again immediately. Were you scared a lot? Hmm.. I think you have a big chance, maybe the manège (French is easier to describe it) will buy it. Seeing as they need new horses. Poor ponies.. They're so much fun! I still remember the first time I sat on a 'real' horse.. Gosh I was scared. It was so huge! _________________ Love is a serious mental disease. ~Plato

| I couldn't get right back on. The other five falls, yes I got right back on, but I had back and head trauma so there was no way I would have gotten back on the horse. The first memory I have is in the ambulance... I'm used to riding horses now, because when I started riding I was already a bit too big for the ponies, but I did ride the cheeky ones. But I agree, ponies are good fun, and they're really cute. You don't need to worry about french, I'm fluent in it! _________________ Ianto: I have searched for the phrase "I shall walk the Earth and my hunger will know no bounds", but I keep get redirected to Weight Watchers.

| No, I meant to ask if you were scared to get back on after you revalidated.. I know a lot of people who never dared to touch a horse again after an accident.. It's so sad. Two members of my family died in a race.. Well, I luckily remember everything from my fall. Just one bit of black where I've been uncounscious. I remember that I 'woke up' and couldn't move my legs anymore. Gosh, I've almost never been that frightened in my whole life.. I thought I was paralyzed. But it was my spine doing crazy because of the fall.. How long did it take you to heal fully? Yeah me too.. Sometimes it's a bit scary though, I'm not that big, and when you ride one of those huge guys I still feel a little sting of stress.. But it's so great to ride no matter what! Haha, my teacher's really sadistic! You're from France, right! CnP told me lol _________________ Love is a serious mental disease. ~Plato

| Ah, yeah I was scared. That's why I'm so greatful to Iliana (the mare I want to buy), because I was only with her that I actually felt safe on her back. She was bigger than me, but hey! It took me three weeks to recover from the fall, but another couple of months before I could walk out of the house without worrying if I had my painkillers because I became really prone to headaches. I couldn't do anything on my own for about three days. I couldn't even sit up because my back would feel like someone snapped it and my head would feel like someone dropped a mountain on it. And even though Iliana was huge, she was great! But yeah, I agree with you. Being that far from the ground is kinda scary... _________________ Ianto: I have searched for the phrase "I shall walk the Earth and my hunger will know no bounds", but I keep get redirected to Weight Watchers.

| Such a beautiful name.. What's her breed? I'm glad you completely recovered!! It would be so awful to never ride again.. Doctors told me I'll probably feel it for the rest of my life, at first I kind of went insane because I thought I could never ride again.. But I can so no probs And they can run so fast! I like the speed. Horses are such elegant creatures.. I spend hours on grooming Aegir xD Poor boy haha.. _________________ Love is a serious mental disease. ~Plato

| She's a french saddlebred. The first ever horse I rode was one of them. Iliana certainly is fast, I thought I was gonna fall off again when she started cantering! I'd estimate that she's about 1m70 - 1m75 to the garrot (dunno what that is in english. I think it's the withers, but hey). I love grooming horses, it's strangely soothing. I once spent two hours grooming and braiding a horse for a competition... _________________ Ianto: I have searched for the phrase "I shall walk the Earth and my hunger will know no bounds", but I keep get redirected to Weight Watchers.

| Yeah, they can go fast! My first horse was a Haflinger.. Very cute and sweet one! It's so amazing how the horses have their own unique personalities.. Only once I met an absolutely messed up horse.. He was abused; it was so sad. He didn't tolerate people anymore.. I know the garrot! In our slang we use some French words.. (hehe) It helps creating a bond with the horse. Aegir first didn't like people too (he was also abused.. Got hit with his 'single'[?]) So I first had to spend days walking around him and taking care of him. It was tough, he tried to squeeze and crush me while I cleaned his stable.. But in the end he became so gentle. It was all worth it! _________________ Love is a serious mental disease. ~Plato

| I knew a pony like that, and I know a horse like that now. The pony could have been mistaken for just being troublesome, but if you looked closer at his body language it was clear that he was actually scared. I hated it when I watched other riders whipping him and all that... I got to know that pony really well actually... The horse was actually the one that threw me, a reformed trotter. She can't stand things around her head, and you can tell why. There are scars down her cheeks, it's awful... I agree with you completely that all horses have their own personalities. That's another reason I love them so much! _________________ Ianto: I have searched for the phrase "I shall walk the Earth and my hunger will know no bounds", but I keep get redirected to Weight Watchers.

| How people can be cruel enough to do something like that! A horse isn't 'evil' or something.. An owner once came to our manège, screaming that the goddamn beast just wouldn't listen. He had bought the horse, Helion, from the stables.. He rides very well so no one thought he'd be able to do something like that. Helion never became the same again.. I hate such people. How? Just how are they capable of torturing a horse like that? Oh my god, poor animal.. That she still wants to ride.. So brave of her. Horses are very special. . When I look them in their eyes, and they look back, I get such a peaceful feeling. Very strange, but pleasant. _________________ Love is a serious mental disease. ~Plato

| People do. Not everyone can see that a horse, when loved, will give all that love back and more. Horses actually seem to understand humans better than humans do. There's a horse at my stable. You could put a two year old on her back and she wouldn't put a hoof out of line, but someone who's been riding for years, it's almost a different horse altogether. _________________ Ianto: I have searched for the phrase "I shall walk the Earth and my hunger will know no bounds", but I keep get redirected to Weight Watchers.
