PostSubject: Re: And the Name of the Game is...   Fri Jul 10, 2009 10:34 pm

57.Beauty of a Moment (For, is that not what life itself is about? Truly, tragedy abounds when one can no longer take a minute to stand and enjoy the very life about them...)

59.Cor Adumbra (As I have said before, I do not speak Latin, and thus cannot ratify the meaning of these words. Yet, a heart of shadows is what I believe it says, and that is exactly of what this story is made... Another possible translation was the sketched or sketchy heart, which is reminiscent of the writing that has birthed the characters within.)
68.How Deep the Well (Creativity, emotion, life itself springs forth from the proverbial 'well'. In this case I speak of the heart, and the emotion of the story itself in all who so love it.)

106.A Shadow Stretched Across the World (This one was invented by Darth Elmo, though he strongly denies any recollection of the actions which led to its creation. At first, I disliked the title for its length, but it has since grown on me. This too is a sort of vague idea of what happens specifically to Shadow and to a lesser extent Bart.)

119.Lines in the Sand (I told you that it was one of my favorites, and since no one else has picked it, I shall do so. The reference it makes is to the line drawn in the sand which a person is dared to cross, and as we all know, life has much more than just one choice. Thus the plurality of the title. What's more is the more lines one crosses, the further in a certain direction one will go. This adds an extra little bit to the title's meaning, asking essentially where you are willing to go...)

132.The Heart Shall be Also (Even if you have never touched a Bible in your life you will probably have heard the verse, "Where your treasures are, there your heart shall be also." The concept of this has always caused me to wonder, and the idea of the fact that most of the characters on MC treasure one or more of the other characters indicates so touching a thought that... I think I'm gonna cry...)

143.How Many Moons (This is, of course, a prophecy reference, and at the same time reflects the fact that no one really knows how long they have to live...)

152.Death is a Window (None of us really knows to what, and yet we all seem to fear it dreadfully, but should we? Also it indicates that one or more of the characters involved will probably end up in the grave by the end of the story. Whether that person or persons is/are one of the villains or heroes is, of course, unknown to any but the writers, and perhaps not even they...)

175.How Heavy the Heart (By now it must seem fairly obvious that I'm just a sentimental sap and love these little references to much stronger emotions.)

243.Portrait Cast in Shadow (The dark face and countenance that you cannot quite see, the clothing of fabric so black and worn, but so much more the eyes as deep as the abyss frighten you to the core. Cold creeps down your spine like ice water. An uncontrollable shiver runs through your limbs, seizing them in its iron grasp and shaking violently. But your greatest horror comes with a flash of lightening that breaks with a roar through the raging waters that beat down from the sky upon the windows so close. It comes when you realize that it is not into the face of a long ago painted work of art that you stare, but into a mirror upon the visage born by yourself.)

Well, the part two of the scenario should be getting started. The game will be extremely delayed from our first point of view because I have Linux Ubuntu with no animation program. I can only sprite, and it's as hard as hell to sprite under GIMP, I tell ya. Especially with the remade IUNE sprites. I'm thinking of, ONCE AGAIN, changing the style to make it a little more convenient to GIMP.

Welcome to round two... This round shall be played out with a single significant difference to the last round. Now, instead of simply voting on a myriad of titles that are all slapped together in a hodgepodge, every voter will pick their two favorite titles from each of the other voter's previous votes. Confused yet? Allow me to attempt simplification through an example. When I vote, I shall select two titles from each of the other person's lists... This should, in theory aid in the elimination process, or at the very least in the determination of those titles which are most widely enjoyed... Remember, you pick two titles off of each individual list, excepting your own, creating a new list of titles that were chosen by other people that you think make the cut...

Round Two
Redemptive Round
One Person: Twelve Votes (Split into Increments of Two)

I shall, for the benefit of the voters, include here a recap of the previous round:

Naveion's votes:
26.Fragments of Memory
45.Greatest Fear
63.The Pen is in your Hand
70.My Fondest Nightmare
84.Heart of a Shadow
137.One Last Shooting Star
144.Like a Feather Blown
191.Flowers Black as Night
264.Shadows of the Mountain
235.Rain of Tears

Copy'n'Paste's votes:
24.The Third Door
92. In the Distance
94.Try not to Cry
77. Hidden in the Shadows
197.A Lost Way
207. Purity of Darkness
46. In Nothing Complete
34. Ending Implied
1.Impressions of the Impossible
165. One More Minute

Allyssianne's votes:
11.Never Stop Running
41.Shadowfall (Credited to Darth Elmo)
48.Tears of the Heart
80.On Blades Edge
96.Cry of the Night
116.Born of Darkness
121.The Foretold (Credit to Naveion)
215.History Unheard of
228.Behind the Mask
235.Rain of Tears

Shadow's jaw drops... whilaroo smiles... whilaroo attempts sarcasm, forgetting that Shadow can't see or hear him... Whilaroo unintentionally makes a bad pun... CnP comes an inch away from headshanking whilaroo...again... Shadow saves whilaroo from yet another brutal death, hallelujah!

MAGIC!

Prism's votes:
247.A Shadow Lost
12.The Remnants of a Dream
209.Burned into Memory
218.Sparks from the Fire
146.The Inkwell Untouched

Prism dawdles... CnP expresses... what was that, concern, outrage, confusion, brotherly love, a prologue to a good headshanking?

3.In the Realm of Reality
23.Prophecy Unwritten
25.A Nightmare Not Unwanted
14.Fly on Broken Wings
43.No Given Reason

Darth Elmo's votes:
11.Don’t Stop Running
33.End of Innocence
43.No Given Reason
50.I Can Just See the Horizon
86.Say My Name
94.Try not to Cry
167.Light up the sky
177.The World's a Stage
21.Life in Purgatory
214.Chapter 1

Prism gets snooty about his voting process...

Toryn has trouble making decisions... Toryn goes ballistic with the voting thing... Whilaroo feels like he accomplished his task...

Toryn's votes:
17.Death by any other Name
25.A Nightmare Not Unwanted
53.Of a World Unseen
56.The Nature of Fantasy
70.My Fondest Nightmare
76.Fall to Mortality
123.Sanctify my Heart
133.Give Me Your Hand
144.Like a Feather Blown
146.The Inkwell Untouched
148.I Plead Insanity
160.The Pages of Fiction
224.The Annals of time
221.Presence of Mind
238.History of a Signature
248.One Fatal Mistake

Special mention:
126.Rise of the Moon, The Falling Sun, Give Me a Name, and Watch Me Run
(Whilaroo does a little happy dance)

Whilaroo is so happy that he allows a breech of protocol for the game's director/thingy...

Sarcastic outrage ensues from Darth Elmo...

whilaroo's votes (That's right! I voted on my own titles!):
57.Beauty of a Moment
59.Cor Adumbra
106.A Shadow Stretched Across the World
119.Lines in the Sand
132.The Heart Shall be Also
143.How Many Moons
152.Death is a Window
175.How Heavy the Heart
243.Portrait Cast in Shadow

whilaroo proves once again that he is full of hot air...

Elmo starts to get antsy. CnP is frightened by Elmo's dreadful spelling which has caused a bit of a faux pas... Elmo fixes the issue... CnP regales us with the tales of his personal woe... whilaroo prays that he is never forced to use such a computer as CnP is now chained to as Prometheus was to the stone only to have his liver torn out every day by a vulture...

Naveion's votes:
70.My Fondest Nightmare (I dunno, it just sticks to the plot fairly well...)
84.Heart of a Shadow (And this also does...)

Copy'n'Paste's votes:
77. Hidden in the Shadows (Because isn't that what we are all doing?)
46. In Nothing Complete (Just so poetic.)

Allyssianne's votes:
80.On Blades Edge (I do have to admit that in the plot many characters were always on the edge of something...)
228.Behind the Mask (Don't try to hide behind words... They'll never cover you.)

Prism's votes:
12.The Remnants of a Dream (That's what I would've thought if I were in that situation... A dream, or a nightmare.)
25.A Nightmare Not Unwanted (It just feels good saying that.)

Darth Elmo's votes:
50.I Can Just See the Horizon (Because that's where it all ends...)
214.Chapter 1 (Sequel, anyone?)

Toryn's votes:
144.Like a Feather Blown (And softly lifts through the air, only to touch ground once the task has been done.)
248.One Fatal Mistake (I don't know why this seems to fit in perfectly...)

whilaroo's votes:
106.A Shadow Stretched Across the World (The Void much?)
152.Death is a Window (That you look through, but only see the eerie figures of the acts to be done.)

Just 'une petite idée'...
We need to make a forum about #Whateverthenameofthegameis#. It would be so much more practical to do so.

If we could figure out what the name is, I'd put up a sub-forum.
